We are based in a terraced 1864 Mayfair townhouse, directly opposite Claridge’s, whose red brick building was completed in 1899.
Brook Street takes its name from the River Tyburn, which flows beneath it at the intersection with Avery Row, very close to where we are.
No.25 was the home of George Frederick Handel from 1723 until his death in 1759. The tiny flat at No.23 was the residency of Jimi Hendrix 1968-9. The Savile Club is at No.69.
Brook Street was described in 1736 as “for the most part nobly built and inhabited by People of Quality”.
Over 280 years later, the description still fits.
